Gather Information:
Review previous interactions and assess how the team members have applied the principles of connection.
Look for instances where they built rapport, listened empathetically, and showed genuine interest in others.
Analyze Current Performance:
Evaluate how effectively your team members are establishing meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients.
Assess the depth of your team members’ active listening and their ability to empathize with others› perspectives.
Observe if your team members are using their understanding of others to strengthen relationships and enhance their influence.
Develop a Coaching Plan:
Identify the key areas where each team member could improve their ability to connect with others.
Develop a plan to focus on these areas in your coaching sessions, incorporating the principles discussed during the Connect workshop.
ACT
Listen for Deeper Understanding:
Encourage team members to share their experiences and challenges in applying these connection principles.
Ask Questions:
Ask them to provide examples of when they genuinely connected with others and the outcome of that interaction.
Discuss instances where they could have utilized their connection skills more effectively.
Explore how they have been implementing the principles from How to Win Friends and Influence People in their interactions.
Ask How You Can Provide Additional Support:
Determine what additional resources or guidance each team member might need to better apply these connection principles.
REFLECT
Get the Other Person’s Perspective:
Encourage team members to share their thoughts on how the connection principles have impacted their interactions.
Provide Feedback:
Provide constructive feedback on how to deepen their connections with others, emphasizing the importance of active listening and empathy.
Highlight successful instances of building rapport and discuss areas where they could connect more effectively.
Align on Next Steps (Call to Action):
Set goals around specific elements of the connection principles and their application in real-world scenarios.
In subsequent coaching sessions, review their progress and discuss the responses they’ve received from colleagues
